Support Analyst

Using my previous broadcasting experience and RNZ's familiarity with my computing skills I was employed on a six-month contract with RNZ's ISMU as a Support Analyst.

My duties included:

• Remote telephone support of the commercial scheduling software Columbine used throughout the RNZ commercial network
• Support of the eMail package
• PC installation and support
• Exposure to Novell Netware and X.25 packet mode connectivity
• Basic needs analysis and solution development.

As noted in the attached reference from David Gatland, at the end of the six month contract it was not possible to renew it due to staff contraction at RNZ at the time.
